Reported 30/3/11 SinChew JitPohA group of 5 robbers hit a lorry that carries eletronic items and robbed the items.
Alert:
1. Do not straight away get dwon to inspect your car if your car being hit.
2. Take down the car registration number, drive to open area area (with a lot of public) or police station to make a report.
Dear readers, this is a true event that happened on 3 October 2012. My father-in-law went to a well-established bank in Rawang to update his and his wife's bank books. A man tapped on his shoulder from behind and said he knew him and where he came from (we suspect he must have been looking over my father's shoulder). The moment my father looked at his face, he lost all sense. He was taken to a bank in Jalan Ipoh where the man filled n the form for my father who lated withdrew all his savings of about RM10K and gave it to him. Luckily he was left at the bank. Later the bank clerk led him to a taxi and the taxi driver put him in a bus back home. Despite lodging police reports, there has been no news at all. You think there were cameras? Yes in both banks but both were blur, and the man's face/figure cannot be identified (wonder what purpose the cameras serve). Luckily his wife was not with him or she would have had it too. Our queries reveal that this is a common crime these days. Shouldn't banks be more vigilant?
